BIOGRAPHY
Contrary to popular belief, music does not have to be one-dimensional. Geoff Antonio along with “iLL fUNK nATION” redefines music into a harmony for all senses. This creative new sound delivers a little something extra to all those out there tired of hearing the usual musical clones. Geoff Antonio has an ear for all instruments, and plays the keyboards, guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. A love for eclectic funk leads way to catchy hooks that are radio friendly, while solid material lures new fans from the first beat. The chemistry behind this unique blend of funk and hip- hop makes for loud explosive beats for those looking for something new to groove to.

INFLUENCES
There are a wide array of influences for “iLL fUNK nATION”, from Prince and Lenny Kravitz who are known for their creative songwriting abilities, to Sly and the Family Stone, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Stevie Wonder for their energy and funk. The Black Eyed Peas, The Neptunes, and Kanye West for their ability to pump out amazing hip- hop grooves. This alluring mix of style weaves in and out of every original tune and creates a sound worth swaying to.

HISTORY
Geoff Antonio and ‘iLL fUNK nATION’ started out as Geoff Antonio Hedgepeth, playing guitar at the age of thirteen in Virginia Beach, VA. Live experience includes performances on both the east and west coasts in venues such as Teddy Riley’s (producer for Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, Black Street) annual talent show ultimately winning third place and an offer from Teddy Riley’s production company all while still attending High school. While searching for a niche Geoff played along side many up and coming artists, such as the Neptunes and Kenna, and finally formed his first band called “Instinct” and went on to record with Pumpkin Head Records, a label now owned by Trent Reznor partner Rich Bowler. After a brief stint with the now famous Linkin Park, Geoff decided to focus on releasing a solo album “Welcome to iLL fUNK nATION” and take on his middle name Antonio. While recording this upcoming album Geoff realized a band that shared his ideas was needed to spread the infectious tunes and make the words and music come alive onstage, thus, ‘iLL fUNK nATION’ was born.

GOALS
The goal of Geoff Antonio and ‘iLL fUNK nATION’ is to work on collaborative albums while taking some time to tour, performing original music that is funky, energetic, and fun, and ultimately record some amazing music to bring the funk to everyone.
