Bio
Geoffrey Castle started as a street musician in New York City. Played in the Broadway and Road productions of M. Butterfly with Tony Randall. Featured performer with local world music group Children of the Revolution. Founder of the Guarneri Underground, who performed at Bumbershoot back in the 90's. Toured and performed with Alan White of YES, and his WhiteSox band with members of Queen, the Pretenders, and Tower of Power, he has also guest starred with Blues Traveler, Buddy Miles, and more.
Castle is not your typical violinist - as comfortable in a full on rock setting as he is in solo performance with influences that range from Celtic traditional compositions to electric blues, funk, jazz, and classic rock. Experimenting with the possibilities of electronics in conjunction with the electric violin, Castle's focus is always on melody and rhythm, which has made him a big hit with audiences of all ages and descriptions.
