Biography

Armed with a spine tingling voice, lyrical depth, and melodies that never leave your side, this young songwriter has nothing but a bright future ahead of him in the music he creates. Geoffrey J. has been influenced from the work of such industry legends as John Lennon and Bob Dylan, and applied them to a collection of music that instantly qualifies him as one of the most dynamic and mature songwriters to emerge in recent memory.

Born in Tucson, Arizona, Geoffrey wrote vocal melodies and stories as a child. As an adolescent he began teaching himself various instruments, writing poetry, and acquiring the skills of songwriting. After experimenting with drums, piano and other instruments and demonstrating an ability to learn them in a short period of time, Geoffrey became focused on the acoustic guitar, harmonica, and his vocal performance. Understanding that not only writing original music would help him grow a career in music but finding the right musicians to help him bring his songs to life in a live performance was the ultimate goal. Geoffrey decided to focus on finding musicians who were obviously seasoned professionals. In April of 2006, he met this great circle of blues musicians at "Pennington Place", a rehearsal studio in downtown Tucson.

The Debut EP "Pennington Place" will be availble for free download until it is offically released in July 2008

Geoffrey J. is currently in the studio recording the follow up release "Who's Who EP", due Fall 08'

Mary Moeur

Written By: Geoffrey J.

Feel a tug on your tie from a ghost
Mary Moeur I thinks her name
Only a look at her face from a photo
That you took when you would
Walk upstairs to her room
Where she hides its painted blue
Will you ever see her face
Mary Moeur I thinks her name

See her waltzin’ by the window
With a smile across her face
Standing silverware on tables
To make you run when you would
Walk upstairs to her room
Where she hides its painted blue
Will you ever see her face
Mary Moeur I thinks her name

Could she feel more stranger when you shout out danger
Let it go make her feel at home Mary Moeur
Could she feel more stanger when you shout out danger
Let it go make her feel at home Mary Moeur

Feel a tug on your tie from a ghost
Mary Moeur I thinks her name
Only a look at her face from a photo
That you took when you would
Walk upstairs to her room
Where she hides its painted blue
Will you ever see her face
Mary Moeur I thinks her name

Even When Your'e Young

Written By: Geoffrey J.

Fourteen was her stew
Boys in bibs she fed who knew
She’d be givin’ it up
First job he’s done
And the boy found love was thee answer
Even when you’re young

Little man look at you
What’d she say in her class room?
Keep touchin’ me
Your makin’ me hot … son
And the boy found love was thee answer
Even when you’re young

He don’t need no testify … He’s on the rise
Please don’t make her cry
She begs, she pleads
She wants to be only with him

Camera man … Interview
Jealous’ cus’ boy gets more than you
Keep callin’ him
For who he’s done
And the boy found love was thee answer
Even when you’re young

He don’t need no testify … He’s on the rise
Please don’t make her cry
She begs, she pleads
She wants to be only with him

Debbie L. What’s you do?
Makin’ love in your classroom
Keep touchin’ her
And makin’ her hot … son
The boy found love was thee answer
Even when you’re young

Write On

Written By: Geoffrey J.

Soap Box Sam expedite the news
Cards on the table then decide who’s who
Mama said “Everything on your Plate!”
But for dinner you said I showed a little to late .. so ride

In town through a puddle of bleach
Gun to my head through the T.V> screen
Oh God! I’m on the post again
Where the public swings and you’re fed what’s read …. so write!

Write On! … Write On! You got your pretty little space
To share your dismay

Fe Fi hear your drum
Walk on air … spread your love
Guest in their home not a friend but a foe
Can’t catch on .. you set the clock to slow … so find!

Me a thought no benefit in hand
Expressionist no impressionist plan
Feel the world we shake could it be
The end, never know, cus’ you decide what I see … so write!

Write On! … Write On! You got your pretty little space
To share your dismay … So write!
Write On! … Write On! You got your pretty little space
To share your dismay … So write!

Write On! … Write On! You got your pretty little space
To share your dismay

Write On! … Write On! You got your pretty little space
To share your dismay … So write!
Write On! … Write On! You got your pretty little space
To share your dismay … So write!

Krissy Lee

Written By: Geoffrey J.

Yesterday’s gone and tomorrow’s dead
Krissy runs nuts in her head
Stellar shoes, a strong towhead
Lashes sharp, uptown she said

Harmless is the look that you gave her
But she’s danger!

Make her cry, No!
Krissy Lee, she Goes
Take her down , She roles
With a hand on her gun

Krissy Lee .. on the news again
Mugshot show … but her hair is red
Bullets Swerve and pass you by
Krissy has no fear me

Harmless is the look that you gave her
But she’s danger!

Make her cry, No!
Krissy Lee, she Goes
Take her down , She roles
With a hand on her gun

Harmless is the look that you gave her
But she’s danger!

Make her cry, No!
Krissy Lee, she Goes
Take her down , She roles
With a hand on her gun

Here I Am

Written By: Geoffrey J.

Sometimes you’ll find all you do is scream
Own up to everything
Half your size can’t even explain
The life she lived her families pain

Wheels turn, Hit n’ Death occurred
Her last cry you just heard
Love life today cus’ tomorrow is just a plan
Of your chance to meet thee end .. Here I Am

Heaven’s here to hold you
Heaven’s here to hold you
I can hear your sob and then you spoil it all

Mother weeps aloud hear it through the night
Makes your breath a pleasant sight
Laci’s gone for good don’t understand
Sixteen and her life must end

Knew her not so well from her won’t forget
Live as if your last sunset
Love life today tommorrow’s just a plan
Of your chance to meet thee end … Here I Am

Heaven’s here to hold you
Heaven’s here to hold you
I can hear your sob and then you spoil it all

To Hold You
Heaven’s here to hold you
Heaven’s here to hold you

I can hear your sob and then you spoil it all
hear your sob and then you spoil it all
hear your sob and then you spoil it all … Here I am

hear your sob and then you spoil it all
hear your sob and then you spoil it all
hear your sob and then you spoil it all … Here I am

Moneyman

Written By: Geoffrey J.

Man your mind must be broken
Cus’ your eyes seem to be open
But your lies spread among them
… You will never own

Tip your hats and clap your hands
Clap them loud for our moneyman
He’s gonna give us all our dreams
He’s gonna get us all that green

Where are we sailing?
Sailing to home kid
Take us to the promise land
I can’t wait for my nest egg

Man your mind must be broken
Cus’ your eyes seem to be open
But your lies spread among them
… You will never own

Scrub the floor from end to end
Try not to upset our moneyman
If he’s happy we will see
A place where money grows on trees

Anchor please! … We’ve landed
Now go down to the shore
I must go said the moneyman
There’s no trees and where’s my home

Man your mind must be broken
Cus’ your eyes seem to be open
But your lies spread among them
… You will never own

Man your mind must be broken
Cus’ your eyes seem to be open
But your lies spread among them
… You will never own

Drink Some Mo'

Written By: Geoffrey J.

My Baby said longtime ago
Where the fuck you been ..I Told her liquor store
Yeah, I don’t care .. Just Wanna Drink Some Mo’
When I fell the urn for that bourbon burn
These broken knees can’t stop me

So I Take a Stroll down Reeper’s Row
Extend thee end … Watch it hit the floor
I don’t mind.. Just wanna drink my southern rye
Man make it snow man make it glow
As I dance around with your white lady

She got my car she got my friends
She’ll steal my job .. she shows the end
Better days and bitter foes
Baby, don’t you just wanna drop the dosie-do
I just wann drink some mo’
I feel the urn for that bourbon burn
These broken knees can’t stop me

She got my car she got my friends
She’ll steal my job .. she shows the end
Better days and bitter foes
Baby, don’t you just wanna drop the dosie-do
I just wanna drink some mo’
When I feel the urn for that bourbon burn
These broken knees can’t stop me

Merry-Go-Round

Written By: Geoffrey J.

When I fall into the same old line
Always trying to re-measure my height
Stand on my toes to beat the test
Tear my ticket for me
Please let me take your seat
Cus’ I just want to ride with the best

And here with them
I don’t see the same old ground
From a merry-go-round
That they see

As I reach the top of the lights
Hold my hands up to the sky
Please tell me why with this box I’m in
Now time to take your seat
Or tilit this lie with me
Don’t want to ride with the rest

And here with them
I don’t see the same old ground
From a merry-go-round
That they see

Here with them
What I see is the same old crowd
From a merry-go-round
That you see
That you see

Rocksalt

Written By: Geoffrey J.

Summer heat over me
Got my step on to your home
Then I begin to see what I came for
Over your wall

Should I go knock on your door
Maybe may I take some more
When you hear me strut you sing
“Now do you think that’s wise?”

Hey there’s something in my wound
You just got the rock salt

Day two I come to you
Once again for more at your home
Can I have your daughter too
With the double Os and some toast

Should I go knock on your door
Maybe may I take some more
When you hear me strut you sing
“Now do you think that’s wise?”

Hey there’s something in my wound
You just got the rock salt
Hit Again!
