George

George is a rock band from São Paulo, Brazil. They've been around for almost seven years now. The members of the band are: Edu Guimarães (drums and vocals), João Madrid (multiple instruments and backing vocals), Filippo Cecilio (electric guitar and backing vocals) and Thiago Martins (bass). The band kicked off back in 2003, when Madrid and Guimarães met in a bar band. After a while, the duo began to write songs together. For some time the band went through many different line-ups, then Siffredi e Cecilio (both writers themselves) joined the group in 2007. With the new line-up, George began to make home recordings that resulted in a Demo containing four songs. In 2009, the band recorded a six-track EP. In late 2009 Bruno left the band. A couple of months later, Thiago Martins joined, adding propulsive bass lines to the band's sound. Now, the band is playing aroung in every gig as you can think of!
