Lyrics

I'm Too Sober

Written By: George Axon & Liz Tansey

It’s 8 o’clock at Leroy’s
And I’m trying to understand
Why the bottom of this bottle
Is the only place to land

The TV in the corner
Keeps serving up bad news
Some sweet thing wants to shoot some pool
But I’m, missing all my cues

THE NIGHT’S TOO YOUNG AND I’M TOO SOBER
TO REMEMBER THAT IT’S OVER
NOW THERE’S SOME REAL HARD THINKIN’
TO BE DONE

DON’T WANNA CRY ON SOME COLD SHOULDER
OR SIT HERE GETTING OLDER
‘CAUSE THE NIGHT’S TOO YOUNG
AND I’M TOO SOBER

You set a brand new record
For showing ways I could be wrong
Now all my friends at Mensa
They say I don’t belong

Those cozy nights I spent with you
Just fill me with regret
But Senorita Margarita
Will remind me to forget

THE NIGHT’S TOO YOUNG AND I’M TOO SOBER
TO REMEMBER THAT IT’S OVER
NOW THERE’S SOME REAL HARD THINKIN’
TO BE DONE

DON’T WANNA CRY ON SOME COLD SHOULDER
OR SIT HERE GETTING OLDER
‘CAUSE THE NIGHT’S TOO YOUNG
AND I’M TOO SOBER

THE NIGHT’S TOO YOUNG AND I’M TOO SOBER

One Love For The Planet

Written By: George Axon & Wayne St. John

What if we took.... a closer look?
What if we found compassion in our hearts?
What if we gave back, to the land?
I think our brothers and sisters would stand by that plan

What if we find, a better way?
To share wealth of the world, with everyone
What if we gave all, that we can ?
I know my brothers and sisters would soon lend a hand

We've got to try to realize
The world's getting smaller everyday
We've got to move on, we've got to be strong
Right now it’s time for a change

IT’S ONE LOVE FOR THE PLANET
ONE LOVE FOR YOU AND I
ONE LOVE FOR THE PLANET
ONE LOVE WILL CRYSTALLIZE

What if we find, peace of mind?
And we never go to war again?
What if we make peace our future plan?
You know people round the world would soon understand

We've got to try to realize
The world's getting smaller everyday
We've got to move on, we've got to be strong
Right now it’s time for a change

IT’S ONE LOVE FOR THE PLANET
ONE LOVE FOR YOU AND I
ONE LOVE FOR THE PLANET
ONE LOVE WILL CRYSTALLIZE

IT’S ONE LOVE FOR THE PLANET
ONE LOVE FOR YOU AND I
ONE LOVE FOR THE PLANET
ONE LOVE MAKES YOU REALIZE

Love to Live in Toronto

Written By: George Axon, Aidan Mason

Verse:
It's the sailboats on the water
It's a walk in High Park
It's the theatre lights
On warm summer nights
It's a day at the baseball park

It’s skating down at City Hall
Chearing at the ACC
It’s the things we did
While being a kid
Hanging out at the CNE

Pre-Chorus:
It’s the way we live together
No matter where we are from
That’s the Toronto spirit
And it’s here for everyone

Chorus:
We all love to live in Toronto
And we come from everywhere
In this city of hopes and dreams
We know what the good life means
We all love to live in Toronto

Verse:
It’s the people on the subway
The red rockets on the street
It’s boy meets girl
It’s the rhythms of the world
And we're dancing to the beat

It’s the view from CN Tower
It’s the feeling in the neighbourhood
It’s when friends meet
For a bite to eat
In Toronto the good

Pre-Chorus:
It’s the way we live together
No matter where we are from
That’s the Toronto spirit
And it’s here for everyone

Chorus:
We all love to live in Toronto
And we come from everywhere
In this city of hopes and dreams
We know what the good life means
We all love to live in Toronto
