Georgel Arevalo has shared the stage with accomplished multi-grammy awarded artists such as Gloria Estefan, Juan Luis Guerra, Ruben Blades, John Blackwell, Sheila E., Aretha Franklin, Melisa Etheridge and others.
Georgel is currently completing his final semester at the Berklee College of Music and will be graduating in May 2006.. The Berklee Chapter of Georgel’s life was open with yet another scholarship. He earned a partial scholarship in Berklee’s Word Scholarship Tour to study at Berklee in Boston. By his 5th Semester Georgel managed to impress his Berklee authorities with his outstanding performance and academic achievements. In so doing, he has earned himself a rare spot among the few to boast of Full Scholarship Status. While grappling academics he also balances performance, singing at some of Berklee’s large-budget productions. These shows include “Singer’s Showcase (3 times),” “Singer’s Night (twice),” “American Fruits with African Roots,” “Still on the Journey,” “Vineyard Vibes”, "Commencement" “Encore Gala ’03.’04 and ’05”and recently he was the opening act for the “Honoree Doctor Degree To Mr. Ruben Blades Tribute Show” to name a few.
However, Outside of Berklee, Georgel has been warmly accepted into Boston’s rich and lively music scene some performances include the Wang Centre of the Performing Arts, Westin Hotel, Ryles Jazz Club, Johnny D’s, MIT, Harvard, Tuffs, BU, and North Eastern universities. International performances include the Mayagues University Salsa Festival (Puerto Rico), Hispanic Heritage Celebration (Las Vegas NV) And he has recently made television appearances on Univision, Cuencavision, Telemundo and BNN.
Having Conquered the Berklee Classroom and the International stage, he is now crafting his production and composing skills in the recording studio. He is vigorously working to release his debut CD which showcase him as Singer/Songwriter/Arranger.
