Bio
George Nixon is a singer/songwriter from North Vancouver, BC, whose music has been described as country-noir, sombre acoustic blues, and edgy alternative folk. Nixon is an accomplished finger-picking guitarist who taught himself to write songs by reading Steinbeck and listening to John Lee Hooker at a young age.
His debut 6-song EP “Ghosts on the Road”, recorded at Red Light Studios with producer/audio engineer Neal Miskin (Maria in the Shower, CR Avery, Headwater), was released earlier this year.
In the summer of 2012, he toured through BC and Alberta with friends, Rio by Night.
Later this year, he will begin work on his second recording project.
