George Vinson's Project Onefifty

George Vinson's Project Onefifty

BandRockChristian

Guitar-driven original rock from guitarist George Vinson, who's been compared to David Gilmour, Steve Howe, and Trevor Rabin, and featured in Guitar Player and 20th Century Guitar magazines.

Biography

While he may be one of the best guitarists you've never heard of, George Vinson is changing that with the release of "Spheres of Influence", his first-ever solo CD after 30 years of being an in-demand sideman and session player in his hometown of Birmingham, AL.

Now residing in the Nashville area, George's music has taken him literally around the globe, playing in Italy, Switzerland, Ireland, Japan, and most recently the country of Oman in the Persian Gulf region.

George's influences (Beatles, Pink Floyd, Yes, U2, Coldplay, Kansas, etc) proudly inform his work, from great cover arrangements, to his own songs and instrumentals. In concert, he's joined by some of the best players in the Southeast. The live show also includes great lighting and cool video pieces.

For more info, check out the equally-cool website (www.project150.com) where you can listen to tunes, download desktop wallpaper, and subscribe to "Spheres" the electronic newsletter magazine from George and Project Onefifty.

As if this isn't enough to keep him busy, GV still finds time to burn up the interstate, doing sessions and live gigs around the region.

Lyrics

A New Heart

Written By: G. Vinson & E. Bates

Verse One
My soul is thirsty
My throat is dry
My life is empty
I cannot cry

Verse Two
Some where within me
Hurt has a hold
The way out of darkness
Is found in you

Chorus
Create in me a new heart
Flood my thirsty soul
Create in me a new heart
Wash me and make me whole

Bridge
All creation sings your praise
For you are above every name
And at that name every knee shall bow

Chorus

Love Never Fails (acoustic version)

Written By: G. Vinson

Verse One
I remember my trouble and my lostness
I remember the taste of ashes and the poison I consumed
I remember the feeling of hitting bottom
But I remember there is hope

Chorus
For your love is everlasting
And you mercy never fails
And even though I stumble
Your grace will prevail
And I know that your love never fails
I know that your love never fails

Verse Two
I remember the pain of disappointment
I remember the taste of tears and the fear of being alone
I remember the feeling of frustration
But I remember there is peace

Chorus
For your love is everlasting
And you mercy never fails
And even though I stumble
Your grace will prevail
And I know that your love never fails
I know that your love never fails

Bridge
And though I stumble and I fall
You always hear me when I call

End chorus
You were bruised for my iniquities
And by your stripes I’m healed
And even through my weakness
Your glory is revealed
For your love is never-ending
And you mercy will not fail
Your voice is unmistakable
And your truth will prevail
For your love is everlasting
And you mercy never fails
And though I walk in shadow
Your light will prevail
For I know that your love never fails
And I know that your love…never fails
