"Live Review of Georiga at Smith's Olde Bar Atlanta, GA"

"Georgia, a southern classic rock quintet effortlessly captivated the crowd with their smooth, laid back attitude, generating music owing much to the influence of southern rock heroes the Allman Brothers. Georgia spilled out their lush vocals, charming lead guitars and good old southern rock vibe helped by their sharp trio of backing vocals. They brought down the house with their sheer stage presence, their well-defined southern rock roots style, crafty songs, complete with a piano-frontman in John Cougar Mellencamp/Axl Rose Tradition." -Shawn Haney - Performer- The Musician's Resource Magazine SouthEast December 2005 pg.45

Bio

Georgia is no longer just a state. Georgia - is a state of mind. The Atlanta-based band offers something in their music that holds no prejudice to social class or era in time. Instead, that very something brings back the unforgettable feeling you get when a song is relative and approachable, yet still moves you. Stylistically, you can call it southern rock, country rock, or even smart pop rock. But regardless of classification, it's just feel-good rock n' roll. Growing up listening to the likes of Tom Petty, The Band, and The Black Crowes, Georgia's sound has found a sense of place through proficient songwriting and classic-sounding harmonies. Not to mention, 3 of the 5 members a of the band are brothers, so a true sense of home is never too far from the stage. The effect of such young, close-knit talent has captivated interest from a variety of fans across the US. Georgia is presently playing shows stretching the southeast after recently completing a midwest tour with Bob Schneider.
