Georgia Overdrive is:
Tobias Östman – Vocals and Guitars
Johan Bergquist – Bass
Niklas Östman – Drums
Georgia Overdrive was born out of small town boredom in Säter, Sweden in the fall of 2010. The three young men, Tobias, Niklas and Johan had been playing together for ten years already in different bands when they decided to cut the crap and get back to the basics. So with nothing more than a guitar, a base, and a drumkit they mixed their influences and ended up with a modern mix of country and rock n roll.
The boys spend a week in the winter of 2010 touring with Swedish Radio and TV project “Musikhjälpen” to raise money against child abuse. The band raised about $4000, and the project in total raised $2 000 000
Their upcoming debut album “Sex, Trucks and Rock n Roll” contains songs about leaving the past for something better, good and bad times, but also about their small town love. Basicly songs that alot of people can relate to. The album will be released in late summer 2011. But the first single, “Paradise” can be downloaded for free from their website www.georgiaoverdrive.com
