Georgie Luttrell

There are times in life where music is the only way a person knows how to speak, and Georgie Luttrell, a native of Newmarket Ontario, already understands that perfectly. Having grown up in a musical family the up-and-coming singer/songwriter always had a large fascination with the creation of sound. Armed with just a guitar, she classifies her music as folk pop but her songs often blend into an array of genres.

At 21 years old old, Georgie has been writing music for 6 years and performing for 4. Her influences are obvious in her sound as a singer/songwriter whose music is very acoustically anchored with a lived-in pop sensibility. Since graduating from Seneca college's Independent Music Production program in 2011, almost all of her focus has been on music. She has performed at festivals such as Barrie EcoFest, the Eaglewood Folk Festival and the Newmarket Jazz+ Festival.

In November of 2012, Georgie went into the studio to record a four song EP that was released in July 2013. Her CD release show in her hometown of Newmarket had an incredible turnout and her first single 'Going North', was released to iTunes, receiving great reviews.  2014 has proven to be a big year full of music for her and that will only continue. Keep an eye open for this talented young chanteuse as she begins to leave the nest behind and spread her artistic wings.
