Bio
Starting at a young age, GePpetto actively involved himself in functions in his community and in high school. At 15, he began building a name for himself, playing the role of DJ/Host/Promoter for live Basketball Tournaments in his community (titled “the Ballerz Basketball Tournament”). The tournaments included live performances from local artists, BBQ events, and live competitions, which attracted hundreds of people in the local area. GePpetto eventually met other deejays in the city through the Ballerz tournaments, and this is what started the blueprint of his life.
GePpetto collaborated with other DJs in the city on a mixtape series that pushed the “Ballerz” name. The mixtapes were made up of smooth mixing, original music from local artists, freestyles, and the hottest cutting and scratching since Funk Master Flex’s “60 Minutes of Funk” Series. This helped in making his name as credible DJ known throughout the Ottawa/Montreal scene. To date, the projects have sold a collective amount of over 50,000 units throughout the Montreal/Ottawa/Greater Toronto area.
Seeing potential in the business, GePpetto and later founded “Ballerz Mixtape”, a media/promotions company based out of Canada which provides services such as artist management, marketing & promotion, graphic design, and project management. GePpetto went on to collaborate with various Indie/Major Record labels in Canada & U.S, and assisted in the management of street teams for indie labels.
