The songs are very well written and produced, really good.”

"On hearing Geraldine Mangan's cd it was like a sound of

Bio

Dublin Singer/Songwriter, Geraldine Mangan's debut original album "This Is The Life For Me” is due for release in September 2008.

Her previous cover album “Favourite Songs Collection” was featured
as "Album of the Week" on many Irish radio stations.

When Geraldine was 14 she was a finalist in the "All Ireland
Teenage Songwriter of the Year Competition" which was
televised from the Harcourt Hotel.

At age 16 she won the "St. Michael's Secondary School
Talent Contest" for singing one of her own songs
and accompanying herself on guitar.

In 1980 Geraldine sang in the "National Song Contest" when
Johnny Logan won with Shay Healy's "What's another year".

She began singing professionally when Liam Harrison
("Give it a lash Jack") asked her to join his band, Fantasy,
and since then Geraldine has performed with many Jazz/Pop
bands over the years, working with well known musicians.

But, for Geraldine, song writing has always been to the fore and
in July 2005 she turned professional as a solo artist.

While recording the current album, Geraldine has received
ongoing advice, direction and critique from Jimmy MacCarthy.
