Bio

Rising from the ashes left behind by the breakup of central Pennsylvania post-hardcore band West Fairview, vocalist Josh Hurst and guitarist Nathan Comp decided to put their heads together and started writing new music. The duo found their niche and discovered that they could combine their original instrumental ability with catchy song writing, creating simple yet complicated tunes which quickly evolved into a rare pop-punk, hype, and modern rock sound, distinguishing them from other bands on the scene. In April 2006 Hurst and Comp recruited guitarist Colin Scull, bassist Kyle Macintire, and long-time session drummer Matt Creason, who has since been replaced by 17-year-old Marco Florey. These five decided to call themselves Fire From The Sky. They honed their sound and chemistry by writing new songs as well as re-writing old ones and made sure their set was as tight as possible before performing in front of a live audience on the road, accompanied by manager Ryan Alden. During the spring of 2006 the band found themselves in the studio, and recorded a 7-song EP available online now. Fire From The Sky has matured on the road playing shows to larger crowds with acts such as The Ataris, Last Tuesday and The Wonder Years, along with several others, and are now ready to broaden their horizons and take on the world...or at least a U.S. tour.
