When you bring the efforts of a well-seasoned, three-piece rhythm section together with a young and talented four-piece horn section, the results can be electrifying. Such is the case with Tulsa’s newest band, G-FORCE!
G-Force is comprised of three of Tulsa’s long time mainstays in the club market: Gary Whitley of Big Kid; Dave Dunham of Backstreet; and Bruce Dunlap of Audio Rodeo. Add to this t...he talents of Cheryl McGee, Soprano sax; Amanda Eldridge, Alto sax; Ashley Phillips, tenor sax and Amy Clark, Baritone sax, collectively known as the G-FORCE HORNS, and you have one of the most spectacular bands to date.
The music of G-Force ranges from “ Chicago ” to “Delbert McClinton” to “Heart” and everything in between. And yes, if you’re not careful, you’ll hear a bit of jazz working its way through the music.
Bruce handles most of the lead vocals, but all the girls sing as well. You’ll love Amanda and Amy’s take on “We Are Family”. Amanda does great renditions of the HEART songs “Even It Up” and “Tell It Like It Is”. Cheryl and Ashley provide the harmonies that make up an incredible vocal section.
