GG Amos

GG Amos

World class guitarist and singer GG Amos fronts her top notch West Coast Blues trio The GG3. Focusing on original blues, r&b & soul jazz, GG & her group also breathe new life into choice covers. She is a riveting performer with a distinctive, expressive style.

Originally from Sacramento, CA, GG is now based in San Francisco. Her main guitar influences include Carlos Santana, Johnny 'Guitar' Watson, Magic Sam, and Kenny Burrell. As a vocalist, her influences have been many but says she learned more about expression, timing and phrasing from the great Louis Armstrong than any other singer. She is a top notch entertainer and songwriter creating a buzz wherever she performs.

GG has appeared with such legends as John Lee Hooker, Guitar Shorty, Jimmy McCracklin, Lowell Fulson, Johnnie Heartsman, Karen Lawrence and Duffy Bishop. She's shared bills with the great KokoTaylor, Sista Monica, Elvin Bishop and Tower of Power vocalist Lenny Williams to name a few.

GG's trio, the GG3 play their unique brand of West Coast style blues, r&b and soul jazz.
GG fronts the group on vocals and guitar, Taki Komori delivers sizzling keyboard solos and bass, and keeping the band pulsing is veteran drummer Rick Taylor. You'll hear everything from classic to contemporary, from originals to choice covers. This is a small tasty combo with a dynamic sound! A saxophonist can be added to the trio upon request.

GG and her band have extensive experience performing at Special events, Weddings, Private Parties of all types, Festivals and Clubs. As a trio, The GG3 can give your event a big sound, alot of variety, music for dancing or listening, and at an economical cost.
