"Ghagged"Lost Scripts""

“I think what truly stands out to me about this recording is the fact that all the lyrics are clean. I can play this album for my grandmother and my nine year old niece without having to worry about offending or poisoning either one of them. If you have a daughter I strongly encourage you to play this album for her.”- Yohon DI

Bio

Pronounced “Jagged” with an unorthodox spelling that has spiritual meaning for the emcee / God Has All Glory Given Eternally and Daily.

This is what mainly inspires the Florida Born emcee to create motivating and soulful tracks that are destined to move the masses.
Her name was bestowed on her because of her sharp fast delivery and cadence behind the mic.

She performs and controls the crowd like a queen waving her septor, mezmorizing all who dare to witness her on the frontlines.

She first got her start in hip hop music after moving to Virginia Beach, VA in her early years.

When other girls her age were playing with Barbi Dolls and "Easy Bake Oven's", she began sharpening her keen ear for music when she used to make up impromptu songs to her father's guitar playing. Her older brothers would often to listen to hip hop greats such as Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick and EPMD. So if she weren’t sitting in on her father’s jam sessions, she would be vibing with her siblings to hip hop music.

This combination would give her a strong foundation that would later serve her well when it came to crafting metaphors, similes, and thesaurus scrolling wordplay. Her love for MC Lyte's "Lyte as a Rock" video, as well as other notable female emcees of the past like Roxanne Shante, Nikki D & Antoinette, would let her know that being an unstoppable estrogen filled force behind the microphone was completely possible.

She also kept her love for singing as she as was inspired by early 90’s R&B such as En Vouge, Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige. This would make her a triple threat in terms of emceeing, singing and songwriting.

As a teenager she would hone her skills @ many open mics and participate with local entertainment companies that would show her how to record in the studio.
From the moment she heard herself in playback mode she knew this was her dream.
In early 1997 she joined an all female hip hop crew called the “Gypcees”.
They created a heavy buzz in her home of Hampton Roads and opened up for many artist from Wyclef, Redman to the Roots.
In 2003 they disbanded and Ghagged became solo.
She relocated to Atlanta GA with her husband and is creating a whole new buzz in the area by performing at venues and making collaborations with other upcoming artist.

Listen closely and you will hear that she has the potential to bring the positive female emcee back in the forefront. She believes that there needs to be a balance in the game and when given the opportunity she will level the scales.
