The Vancouver duo plays unabashedly upbeat music that can't help but put you in a good mood. Consisting of Vasudeva "V" and Govinda "G" Clayton, the band plays a mix of reggae, urban, surf rock, and world music to create a sound reminiscent of Sublime, Cat Stevens, and Outkast. The band also combines influences from all over the world to form lyrics that are unapologetically life-affirming. We all need our lives affirmed every now and again.

Just listening to the CD now. Wow....its' really great! I think you have a winner here and I certainly sense a great degree of development in your writing and performances since I last heard your material. I really like Trk 2 and Trk 8. I think this will be in the CD player for a while.
Congratulations!
Cheers,

Soul, reggae, rock, funk, blues, hip hop...how many different styles can
these guys incorporate in their music?!?!?! The amazing thing is that it's totally cohesive and fluid.
Nothing is out of place or forced and this truly gives the Ghost
Brothers a sound all their own. Their melodies and harmonies will haunt you for weeks (listen to "Just Wanna Play" once and it's in your head all day) but don't go calling an exorcist or psychic detective just yet these are friendly ghosts! Casper, your days as the most popular ghost on the block are numbered.

Unbelievable! This band is the best discovery I've experienced in years. A bit reminiscent of "The John Butler Trio" in ways. The incredible range of emotion flowing throughout this entire album manifests itself through both the music AND the lyrics. That is something that is rare these days! Don't miss songs "Let's Ride", "Just Wanna Play", "Angel", and "Better To Have Loved". Who am I kidding? Don't miss the entire album. Buy it and support these incredible artists. Be sure to spread the word on these guys!

Bio
Ghost Brothers: Vasudeva “V” and Govinda “G” Clayton were both given the middle name, Ghosh, in honour of two renowned ancient Hindu musicians wielding the same moniker. As kids, their friends would nickname them the Ghosh brothers. The band name, “Ghost Brothers”, is a modern adaptation of that traditional Sanskrit word which means… to access meaning of life. Growing up in places such as Hawaii, Detroit, West Virginia, India, Canada and currently California, has helped to create an original and refreshing musical style. Influences of roots, reggae, electronic, pop, surf rock and world beat combine flawlessly to create an organic sound unique to the Ghost Brothers.
Ghost Brothers are a live music delight, from playing lounges, clubs, and headlining festivals in Canada, the US, Australia and as far as Belgium. They have supported international touring acts such as Michael Franti and Spearhead, Arrested Development, Xavier Rudd, K'naan, The Stills and Blue King Brown. Ghost Brothers like to deliver their harmonious brand of music as a full band or as a dynamic duo. Their sound has been compared to Dave Matthews, Cat Stevens, Damian Marley and Sublime, with a dash of world music vibes.
The Brothers completed their latest album, ‘REACH’, with multi-Juno award winning producer/mixer Roger Swan (Nelly Furtado, Alicia Keys, K-oS, Rascals), and the album is now available on their myspace and on iTunes.
One thing that can be said for sure is that if you like to hear feel good music, dig soulful jams and like to dance, then you will fall in love with Ghost Brothers.
