"Dance & Go Crazy"

Ghostkick blows this track out of the water. This remix is just what I’ve been looking for. - Gotta Have Good Music

"Fresh Remixes"

Rihanna released “We Found Love” as the leading single this year from her newest album Talk That Talk. A lot of critics thought Calvin Harris‘ production was very good, but that Rihanna’s lyrics were very simple. Thank god there is a fresh remix of this by Ghostkick. It’s a driving house beat complete with sweet synthesizers and Rihanna’s vocals. - True Musik

"Straight Golden: Adrian Lux & Ghostkick"

Our next piece is a golden remix of Calvin Harris & Rihanna chart topping hit “We Found Love” from Ghostkick. Abiding to their pledge to produce EDM music of all genres, this track festers with grindhouse electro synths, big room progressive effects, and filthy bass-fueled breakdowns. The duo surrounds Rihanna’s powerful vocals with an even stronger showcase of their expansive production talent. I’m excited to hear what more these guys can bring to the table, but for now, enjoy! - Bouncebug

"New: Ghostkick Remixes Rihanna's "We Found Love""

I am not positive I have heard the original of “We Found Love” but Rihanna and Calvin Harris‘ collaboration have certain been remixed quite a bit recently. The latest remix comes from the ever mysterious Ghostkick who turns the track into a dubstep/house banger. Check it out. - Surviving the Golden Age

"Hot Club Mixes"

Rihanna and Calvin Harris certainly may have found love, I guess. But I personally have found love in this STUNNING remix from Ghostkick. I love everything done to this track – the edited vocals and the overall dreaminess and simplicity. I think a Porter Robinson style electro remix would definitely be sick but at the same time, this remix is very unique and caught me off guard. - Electrojams

"Ghøstkick's Remix of Rihanna & Calvin Harris' "We Found Love" Is A Win"

In my opinion, the different outlets of electronic music all sit on a very fine line. One that divides the completely intolerable and its polar–true genius. I am no expert, nor is my knowledge of house/dubstep/techno vast, but I would be willing to bet most “electronic professionals” would agree with me when I say that either you have it, or you don’t. Simple as that.

For instance, I find Girl Talk (Gregg Michael Gillis) to be a very impressive DJ. He is relevant, precise, and holds nothing back in his live performances. His work is just down right fun–the perfect concoction.
But on the other end of DJship you have artists like Bassnectar who seem to take a much more serious approach at the craft.

Bassnectar‘s (Lorin Ashton) sound, I believe, kind of gives definition to what “dubstep” should sound like. Or his music atleast clearly shows how much bass and reverb is truly necessary to stay on the top step of dubstep. I find most of his stuff to be a bit overwhelming. Free country people.
My point is that there is a movement occurring in music right now. With artists like, Deadmau 5, Pretty Lights, Daft Punk, STS9, and Ghøstkick making moves, the electronic genre has broken itself down into very specific categories–each of which are producing game-changing talent day in and day out.

Now that I got that out, I feel that I can step down from my soapbox and introduce to you a group of electronic engineers that go by the name of Ghøstkick.

I think the best way to introduce these guys is by sharing the group’s overall philosophy:

There is a duality in everything. Without sound, there is no silence. Without darkness, there is no light.

We are all held together by an unseen binary system…

We are all 0's and 1's.

Ghøstkick hunted us down and asked us to share their new remix of Rihanna and Calvin Harris‘ “We Found Love.” Well, I am here to tell you–it is a goodin’. I would go as far as to say that it is better than the original. Granted the original track had all of the elements needed to make a wonderful remix, Ghøstkick took advantage of each component brilliantly. The track is pretty spacey, but is continuously evolving therefore the “spaciness” (sorry for thinking it is ok to add “ness” to anything. Just too damn effective.) is tolerable and actually works quite well.

This group incorporates multiple electronic categories in this track, which keeps things interesting. There is the traditional techno sound entering and exiting through the first half of the song, kind of laying a foundation for chaos. Then at about 3:30 the song kicks into the whomping noise of dubstep and gives the song a very raw, kind of perverted, element. After another minute in, the song transitions into the classic high spirits of house music. When the song went into this segment of its design I was able to envision Vegas, lasers, glowsticks, nudity, and bad decisions all simultaneously erupting into a sky of celebration. Needless to say, this track is very well done.

Bio

Ghostkick has only been producing as a duo for a few months and in the short time since have already managed to set the EDM community afire with their distinctive big-room, cross-genre signature sound. The duo officially launched their production campaign by remixing Calvin Harris’ and Rihanna’s #1 hit single ‘We Found Love’- a massive progressive-house-meets-dubstep interpretation that earned them instant praise from respected journalists across the musical blog-o-sphere; and which today continues to receive hundreds of thousands of hits from EDM ethusiasts worldwide.

It’s no surprise then that Ghostkick’s very first ever, all-original single ‘LUST’ was immediately picked up for Beatport release. The true shock came when the duo met their debut with charted success - ‘LUST’ climbed all the way to the Beatport Top 20 for its genre within the first week of release. As a result the duo has earned a direct distribution deal with Beatport and are now releasing records under their very own label XP EDM.

Recently Ghostkick has been inundated with remix and gig offers from artists and venues all around the world, having already performed at some of Los Angeles’ premier nightclubs (The Vanguard and Supper Club, to name a few) alongside EDM giants Edward Maya, Saaeed Younan, Alex Kidd, and the “Queen of Clubs” herself, Nadia Ali.

At a trailblazing pace Ghostkick is no doubt headed for the world stage. To this end they are now focusing on their studio productions, having just recorded with the “Prince of Soul” two- time American Idol and America’s Got Talent quarter finalist, Dezmond Meeks. The magnetism between Dezmond and the duo has most recently lead to a soon-to-be-released music video; as well as upcoming tour dates for shows supporting the largest festivals in North America - Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Nevada and the Winter Music Conference in Miami Beach, Florida.

As it is with EDM so it is with Ghostkick. The duo embodies the tenant of universality and social harmony by way of music. Setting their sights high, Ghostkick blurs the lines between genres, abstracting sound, style and technique from whereever they please; bringing it all together by employing spirit soaring leads propelled by rich anthemic melodies ... and lots and lots of bass.
