Bio

Ghost Theory, formerly Triomorrow, is not your typical “cookie cutter” rock band. Born late summer 2008; Jon Ward, Adam Triplett, and Geoff Service smashed their three individuals styles of classic rock, punk, and hard rock together into a unique modern rock and roll sound.
Ghost Theory spent their first six months developing and tightening their sound, composing some original material, and then put out their first demo, Garages and Bedrooms early 2009. Then they took it to the people of Hampton Roads, playing their first gig at the famed NorVa in Norfolk, VA. The band impressed the venue enough to be asked back for two more shows within the next few months. Shortly there-after they grabbed an opening spot at Budda’s Place in Newport News, VA and again impressed the venue enough to be invited back two days later as the headliner. They played a handful of private house parties over the remainder of the summer while preparing for a busy fall and winter schedule. The guys landed a spot at Hell’s Kitchen of Norfolk in the fall, and were invited back for four more gigs throughout the winter. Ghost Theory connected with another local band for a charity show at Gil’s in Virginia Beach and were asked by the band to open two more shows at another venue. They also spent some time in a local studio recording their new 5 track self titled EP, that showcases each member's talent extremely well.
Lead guitar and vocalist Jon Ward’s playful songwriting and electrifying guitar riffs are best displayed throughout the track “10s & 20s”. Jon has been playing for fifteen years. He prefers a fender guitar or epiphone firebird and is influenced greatly by such artists as Jimi Hendrix, Mike Campbell, and Greg Hill. Adam Triplett’s thundering drums propel the tracks “On Fumes” and “The Surf”. Adam has been playing for ten years on his vintage 1970's Ludwig 5 piece with Sabian cymbals. He is heavily influenced by Dave Grohl, Chad Sexton, and Josh Walters. Bassist Geoff Service’s melodic bass lines give depth to “Fine with Having Fun” and the quick tempo track “Three Ways”. Geoff has been playing for fourteen years. He prefers the Rickenbacker bass and is influenced most by artists such as James Hetfield, Dimebag Darrell, and Dan Donegan.
Together they are armed with new music for a new decade; successfully intertwining the poetic dexterity of Tom Petty, with the artistic flare of Jimi Hendrix, and the tempo and style of Alkaline Trio. Ghost Theory stands ready to deliver their modern rock & roll to growing audiences of music lovers at every opportunity.
