Do You Believe N Ghosts? We ask this question in reference to the re-occurring examination that Hip-Hop is dead! Ghost Writers, two multi-talented young men from Houston, and Austin, Texas respectively are becoming one of the Nations’ hottest Hip-Hop talent, and will certainly make a believer out of you!
La Carlos G. Francis a/k/a G. Lavacci was initially introduced to the Rap game at an early age. It was his work ethic and determination that enabled the vocal penetrating lyricist to overcome the odds that go hand and hand with a starving artist's rise to stardom.
Eian Jackson a/k/a Big Jig is the other half of this ghostly duo. The Austin native, who is influenced by some of the industry greats, is striving to carve his niche amongst the elite as well. Non-believers beware; the Nation is officially about to be declared a ghost town!
Ghost Writers began spooking the Houston area in the summer of 2001 when their promotional album was leaked to the public. “Boo! Operation: Underground” received rave reviews which in turn made the group one of the most sought after acts in the city. At that particular time they were already in the mix shows with their underground hit "No Neva Not Me" on 97.9 The Box.
GhostWriters teamed up with platinum producer extraordinaire Tim Walker of (Emerge Inc. / Southern Fried Entertainment), and recorded this “Bootiful” debut album, "Do U Believe N Ghosts". Together the Ghost Writers and Tim master minded a new sound that is sure to be haunting trunks near you October 2003! The first single is the anthem-esque "Down South" which is currently slated for release in Ghostober 28, 2003, It will definitely spook a few rumps! This record will make all the southerners’ world wide proud!
Make it a point to check them out when they are spookin' through a city near you. They are not only veterans behind the mic, They can rock a show and have done so with the likes of Cash Money Records,112, Lil Flip, Lil Troy, Big Pokey, Gemini, and South Park Mexican, just to name a few. The duo has created a frenzy over their work, which has resulted in several guest appearances with artist such as Devin the Dude of Rap A Lot, O.G. Ron C. of Swisha House and radio personality Mad Hatta of 97.9 The Box.
The Ghost Writers are original! Equipped with their own style, slang, and sound they are a doubtless throwback to the days of Hip Hop. Ghostwriters are a prominent force to be reckoned with and have no intentions of letting up any time soon. It's simply booootiful! “Keep it Ghost”.
