Press Release Summer 2012 -
'Give Her the Gun' are a fictional band set in a post-apocalyptic time.
Everything to do with ‘Give Her the Gun’ including the look, the music, the lyrics and the live show are connected to the band-penned novels ‘Caden’s Journals’.
Their debut Extended Play – ‘Now’s The Time…’ will be released as a digital download on Friday 14th September 2012 available through –
iTunes, Amazon, eMusic and Spotify.
They will also release 1000 Limited Edition, autographed CDs on the same date.
After over a year’s preparation, ‘Give Her the Gun’ launched online in April 2012 and performed their first gig on 2nd June 2012. They are currently, totally independent, having written, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered the E.P. themselves with the help of Ali Gavan at Brighton studios ‘Transmission’. The novels ‘Caden’s Journals’ are also being written by an individual band member. A new story entry from these novels is released online every few weeks and the band has the intention to release a complete novel combining released entries and chapters every 18-24 months.
Just as the story is a journey, ‘Give Her the Gun’ have echoed this through their debut E.P. by merging the tracks together to create a continuous piece of music.
The ‘Arcane Alliance’ is the umbrella name that ‘Give Her the Gun’ use to release their music and promote shows. As everything else with the band, it will play an integral part in the story.
‘Give Her the Gun’ believe it’s time for something slightly different in the world of music…they may just be that something…
Their as-yet, untitled debut album is due for release in 2013.
