Discography

In Europe Giada Valenti released several CDs with SonyBMG.

In December 2005 her first American CD is released, titled "Italian Signorina", with the label Perla Entertainment. It’s a EP that contains five songs, two covers and three songs Giada wrote her self. It features the song “Caruso” that performed on the Red Carpet at the Columbus Day Parade in New York City, which was broadcasted by NBC4.

At the moment more then 45 radio stations are playing every week Giada’s music and this is still growing.

Bio

Singer-songwriter Giada Valenti is recognized for her special voice and her great stage presence. In Italy they say she sounds like Mina, Catherina Valente and Ornella Vanoni. In the US Giada is often compared with Peggy Lee, Diana Krall, Conny Francis and Norah Jones.

In 2004 her music got serious interest from a major record company in New York. This inspired her to move in the summer of that same year from Europe to the United States. In December 2005 Giada’s new CD ‘Italian Signorina’ was released in the USA, which is continuous getting great reviews.

In 2007 Giada’s music was used in a television special with American figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi, broadcasted by NBC Television.

Producer Sonny Grosso and music director Phil Ramone selected Giada for a role the upcoming Broadway musical “Be My Love”, based on the life story of the famous tenor Mario Lanza.

Together with her stage director Vicki Stuart she has developed several different shows. In most shows she takes her audience back and forth the Atlantic, singing a selection of the most beautiful love songs. In 2006 and 2007 Giada performed these shows several times in a sold out Dicapo Theatre and Lighthouse Theatre in Manhattan, NY. In 2007 she became a regular at Feinstein's at the Regency Hotel.

Giada is also invited to perform as a special guest on prestigious Galas of for instance the Italy America Chamber of Commerce at the Cipriani in NYC, The Italian American Museum at the Plaza Hotel in NYC, the Columbus Citizen Foundation at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC and at the Italian Embassy in Washington DC.

Giada is born and raised in Venice, Italy. She started to sing and play piano at the age of 7. Giada was already touring professionally with a band at the age of 12. She studied piano and music theory at the Santa Cecilia music school in Venice and got her music degree at the G.Tartini Institute in Trieste. She also took singing lessons in Venice with American jazz singer Down Mitchell.

While she was studying psychology at the University of Padova, she participated in the song contest “San Remo New Talents in the World” and won with her pop ballad "Solo con Te" (Only With You). This led to a record contract with BMG in Europe. The album had a successful run in Europe. One of the tracks was used in a radio and television commercial for Piaggio scooters.

Giada is a great live performer; she is an excellent entertainer that easily communicates with her audience. She speaks Italian, English, Dutch, French, and some Spanish.

In 2005 and in 2006 Giada had the honor to perform as a special guest on the Red Carpet at the Columbus Day Parade in New York City, which was broadcasted live by NBC Television and by RAI International around the globe.

Giada performed on several occasions with SNL star Joe Piscopo, like in the Sands in Atlantic City.
