Bio
Gianna Salvato 18 year old solo artist, has accomplished much already in the dawn of her musical career. Her impressive resume includes working closely with top music producers to singing in legendary venues. Behind it all is her sultry voice, peppered with innocence and emotional depth.
Gianna's first song titled "Believe Me" written at age 13 topped songwriter charts at songcirclemusic.com for several months. She continues to catch the attention of her growing fan base, music executives, and performing for special interest groups (Stevie Wonder's annual "House Full of Toys" Event in LA, Light of Day, MoonWalkNYC 2013 & 2014, NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Committee 2014 to name a few) with her honest and impassioned brand of pop/soul music. Gianna recently won Amateur Night at The Apollo and was selected by Bill Seidman to participate in the BMI sponsored professional songwriters workshop.
Gianna lives her life with absolute purpose, a young artist with a deep desire to express her story through music. Though still difficult to talk about, overcoming a personal loss has made her a stronger, deeper person who has poise and maturity beyond her years. Currently, she is attending class at Juilliard and has just completed a Music Theory Specialist program at Berklee College of Music all while maintaining a busy rehearsal, performance and writing schedule.
Gianna's power ballads may be credited to the influence of artists like Alicia Keys, Al Green, Aretha Franklin, and Christina Aguilera. Her journey has already led her to Nashville and Los Angeles to collaborate with seasoned songwriters like Mikal Blue, Nikki Flores, D'Mile, Natalie Hemby, Jeff Cohen, Jason Reeves and Jessie Harris, experiences that Gianna says has helped her further develop her own voice and sound.
When sitting down to write in a session or up in her room, Gianna says "I'll just start with a thought that I want to express and that will usually spark more ideas for a melody to go along with what I am trying to say. I'll just toy around on my keyboard until I think I'm onto something. I just try to think about how I was feeling when I was experiencing whatever I'm writing about and figure out how to frame it in a way that everyone can relate to."
Gianna credits her sister Raquel, their shared love for Alicia Keys, and true destiny for the unfolding of events that magically brought her demo full circle.
In addition to performing, Gianna continues to collaborate with esteemed writers and producers. The best way to get to know Gianna is to litem to her sing. Soulful. Genuine. Strong. Ready.
