Bio
In Summer 2008 four friends – at the time active in two different Los Angeles bands – went on a trip to Las Vegas. They decided to start a side project. By the time they came home they had already picked a name and accidentally booked a show without ever playing together.
They had 6 weeks to write a set of songs and rehearse. In the process their old bands either kicked them out or dissolved. The show was a disaster, and they were shunned from a large part of their old music scene - but they liked the new songs the direction they were going. With nothing left but the drive to continue playing the four poured everything they had into GIANT STATE. In just a year they released an EP and a two song single, received local airplay on 106.7 KROQ, headlined a residency at the world famous Viper Room and shared the stage with many of L.A.'s best up-and-coming acts while rapidly building an audience. GIANT STATE is currently playing shows throughout California and working on material for a new full-length recording.
