Gibrish music is both artistic and explosive. As a meeting of Berthold Brecht, Tom Waits and Allan Edwall on a dark path in the deep forests i Sweden. The stories are important with lyrics inspired by the ancient folk tales all the way to contemporary social issues.

The idea behind the band is to take off in the Swedish folk tradition and develop it into new exciting directions. Besides the myriad of musical styles represented in the band there is much weight upon improvisation and theater elements.

Lyrics

Allt har sin tid

Written By: Gibrish/Suneson

Translated:
Everything has its time

Being born, it has its time.
With eyes so clean and so clear
To die, it has its time.
But now we just turn a blind eye

Everything has its time
Everything has its time

To win, it has its time.
In the delightful tastes
To cry, it has its time.
When life itself fights you back.

Everything has its time
Everything has its time

Everything has its time, remember one day a long time ago
Though everything has its time, I want to be there again

To love, it has its time.
But always, always too short.
Leaving everything, it has its time.
When your heart yearns away

Everything has its time
Everything has its time

Rätt som regn

Written By: Suneson/gibrish

(Verse 1)
Det är rätt som regn.
Rätt som vinden.
Rätt som värme i en säng.
Det är rätt som regn.

Skön som en ros.
Som en långsam blues.
Som känslan inombords.
Den är skön som en ros

(Chorus:)
Ni kan kalla henne packa eller häxa.
En fé, en vän.
Men hon har fått mitt hjärta att växa.
Och det är rätt, det är rätt som regn.

(Verse 2)
Stod som ett träd.
Vid en öppen väg.
Som la ut sig framför mig.
men jag stod som ett träd.

Det var varmt som ett vin.
Varmt som varm medicin.
Som sköt in sig i mitt liv.
Och det var varmt som ett vin.

(Chorus)

Dahlia meets Bird Petite

Written By: Suneson/Kronlid

Bird petite by the window.
What`s the use of your song.
Dahlia behind the glass.
Say´s that you bothering her to long.
Your sound echoes foul and false.
Between walls of concrete.
Not at all like it was yesterday.
When Dahlia was singing so sweet.

La La La

Bird Petite in freedom flies
And Dahlia she speaks low
I wish I had those little wings of yours
I leave this town, sure I know.
Yes your life maybe short, she says
We may swap you and me
I will follow the warm breeze.
Look down on the big blue sea.

La La La

Bird Petite by the window.
Please leave now, your freedom mocks her
Look at Dahlia, how she turns away
From you Petite Bird
Remember she’s someone’s leavings
And your melodies they will never bring
Get him back, nor the days and hours.
The moments when they used to sing

La La La

No one belives in me...only Jesus!

Written By: Suneson/Kronlid - Gibrish

They said it was me who sent her out there in the cold
She wore a mask and held a gun, knocked at my neighbor’s door
Well, a woman should follow her man so I’m told
But she’s crazy, yes the papers says it´s so
But no one believes in me… nobody but him!

No one believes in me…only Jesus
No one believes in me…it´s just him
When he takes me to his aim and whispers my name
And that no one believes in me…only Jesus

Then they told me that I controlled her with my might
But I swear it wasn’t me that held the gun that bloody night
‘Cause those slugs that hit into my wife
It was God who ruled the bullets and her life
But no one believes in me… nobody but him!

No one believes me…only Jesus
No one believes in me…only him
He takes me to his aim and whispers my name
But no one believes me…only Jesus

(Stick)

It must be Satan or the devil’s work
Or maybe God himself staged this drama
Pointing with his finger like a mighty clerk
Pointing at me and I said - Hallelujah

No one believes me…only Jesus
No one believes in me…it´s just him
He takes me to his aim and whispers my name
But no one believes me…only Jesus

God here´s to you

Written By: Suneson/Gibrish

God here´s to you, this man´s without a crown.
He worn the same shoes since the city burned down.
It said they build the hospital on the land that he owned.
But God here´s to you, nobody knows if it´s so.

God here´s to you, give a chance if you can.
A fortune has flowed down the throat in this man.
He´s just passing through, the world was never his home.
So God here´s to you, this man is cold and alone

God here´s to you, A man called Marabo.

God here´s to you, he walked the streets of our town.
With redtop and mister Ivar and the drunken clown.
And outside the music store, now it´s Olof Palmes square.
They sat on the bench, well I remember them there.

God here´s to you, A man called Marabo.

So take care of this man, if you can, put him down in your nest.
He never said a prayer or sung out any hymn from his chest.

God here´s to you, all he wants is to sleep.
In a warm sleeping bag far away from the street.
Far away from their eyes, far away from their smiles.
So God here´s to you, hold him now like a little child..

Vision of zero

Written By: Suneson/Gibrish

She stepped into the water - cold, black and calm
Keeping her socks on – try to stay warm
Her paintings of maidens - maidens at sea
Who swam under water, as happy could be

The decision was made, she went to slumber
No princess or no hero.
Among many she became just a number
No visions of zero

Dahlia she painted - a casket in blue
Farewell to her friend who - was nothing but true
Put lanterns in the water - floating from shore
For a fair young maiden who finished here chores

The decision was made, she went to slumber
No princess or no hero.
Among many she became just a number
No visions of zero
