Bio
A graduate of The Freehold Conservatory in Seattle, Gilbert Polk moved to New York City knowing no one and having very little other than an abundance of desire for adventure and opportunity. Today he works as a professional songwriter in New York, where he was just awarded his first ASCAP PLUS monetary award. He is a member of ASCAP, Songwriter’s Hall Of Fame (NAPM), and Actor’s Equity Association.
Gil was awarded by BILLBOARD MAGAZINE as one of the top songwriters in the world in a recent BILLBOARD World Song Competition. He recently recorded with world-renowned recording artist KRISHNA DAS, for an upcoming CD and DVD world release on Triloka Records and Artemis Records. More recently, Gil was featured in the 12th Annual BILLBOARD World Song Contest for his award-winning song, YOU ARE (The One I See), chosen as one of the top pop entries in the world.
A multi-talented writer, Gil has also written music for the stage. He is always working to take his career to the next level by building bridges that connect his passion for songwriting and acting with his passion and desire to serve others on a global scale.
