Bio
One day, while lecturing to over 300 students at UCLA, Jeremy had a revelation: if only students knew what professors were thinking about grading, they could do what it takes to get really good grades. And so, he set out to write an instruction manual for college a book that would be authoritative and expert, but at the same time snarky and entertaining: the Professors Guide to Getting Good Grades in College (HarperCollins, 2006). Tens of thousands of students have benefitted from this book already. But now Jeremys taking the show on the road a national college tour entitled Gimme an A! The program includes 3 segments: Top Ten Tips for Kicking Ass in College (the very best tips from the book); The Grading Game (an interactive game in which students come to the stage, win prizes, and learn how to interact with the professors); and You Can Do It! (a motivational section in which students learn specific steps they can take to improve their grades starting the very next day). Jeremy is a master teacher: he is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Princeton University and UCLA, and has taught at UCLA, MIT, and the University of Arkansas. Jeremy has appeared on numerous TV and radio programs (including most recently ABC-TVs View from the Bay), and is soon to be a web-columnist for US News college rankings website. His website is www.professorsguide.com and hed love to hear from you at jeremy@professorsguide.com
