Gimme My Moon Back

Gimme My Moon Back was formed in 2005 in Albuquerque, NM by singer/guitarist Sean Holbrook and bassist Evan Webb who met their Sophomore year of High School. The duo would play at coffee houses, parks, and parties around Albuquerque for anybody who would listen.
In 2007, drummer David Salazar joined the band. Since joining, the three piece has come out with several home-recorded songs and have played in many venues inside New Mexico and also inside Texas and California.
In September of 2011 Gimme My Moon Back released their first full length album, Barking Dogs Don't Get Pet.

In High School, Sean would be seen under various trees with his acoustic guitar singing alternative rock songs from bands like The Counting Crows, Our Lady Peace and The Smashing Pumpkins. When he met Evan, he gave him the desire to play music as well. Evan then decided to pick up the bass guitar. He focused primarily on ska and punk bass lines from bands like Sublime, Rancid, and The Slackers. They were separated in 2002. Sean moved to Texas, and Evan to Massachusetts.
The two had years to refine their individual styles until they both moved back to Albuquerque in 2005. After David joined in 2007, it became aware that his influences were geared more toward metal and progressive like Porcupine Tree, Dredg and Opeth, rather than the alternative rock Sean and Evan were accustomed to. With all these various genres that each member of Gimme My Moon Back is into, it makes their music unique and difficult to fit into one particular genre.
