I am a Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist. I write and perform songs that reflect life experiences or events, songs that evoke emotion, and that the listener can hopefully identify with.

Lyrics

The Puzzle

Written By: Gina Acuna

I never had a chance to say goodbye
even if I did I couldn’t have
now that’s all in hindsight
and the pieces of the puzzle don’t fit
and I’m trying to wrap my head around this –

brother, oh I miss you
and brother give me the reasons why
brother help me to realize
that the givers and takers all reap
and the meaning of it all is too deep.

I never had a clue to take the time
even if I did I missed the signs
now that I’ve been blindsided
and the pieces of the puzzle don’t fit
and the truth of the matter is this

brother, oh I miss you
and brother give me the reasons why
brother help me to realize
that the givers and takers all reap
and the meaning of it all is too deep.

I wish I had a way to turn the tide
A bird in the hand has got to fly
Now I see there’s no guarantee
And the meaning of it all is this
That sometimes the pieces don’t fit

(repeat chorus)

Tell Me Why

Written By: Gina Acuna

Words are hard to come by
sleep is harder still
as distance falls between us
the testing of our will

tell me why (tell me why – tell me why)
tell me why, tell me why
tell me why

October’s calling
I feel a sudden chill
all the leaves are falling
time it stands so very still

(repeat chorus)

who holds the answers? who shall I question?

there’s no rhyme or reason
only time well spent
and in your disappearance
I have no answers yet

(repeat chorus)

Wonderland

Written By: Gina Acuna

You left in the morning
oh what a surprise
left without warning by closing your eyes
I only hope as you went off to sleep
an angel beside you took you in peace

Sleep – in wonderland
Dream – in wonderland.

There in the ocean in deep color blue
the waves they are crashing , they become you
A sun that is setting into an orange sky
you are the color you are the tide

Sleep – in Wonderland
Dream – in Wonderland.

Now in the morning when I arise
I capture the moment before it goes by
I can imagine your voice when I sing
I carry it with me into my dreams.

Sleep – in Wonderland
Dream – in Wonderland.

Thank You

Written By: Gina Acuna

These times
have been the times of my life
these years
have seen their rhythm and rhyme
we too, are aging like a fine wine,

and how can I say,
I am better because of you
and what can I say,
as I stand here with gratitude,
and all I can say...
is thank you.

These nights
are filled with Christmas tree lights
these ties, are never ones to bind
so I write this song for you tonight.

(repeat chorus)

Tonight,
is another moment in time
and with you,
I'm having the time of my life.
