Gina Marie

I guess you could say my style is pop/rock/soul with sort of an indie/folk feel to it. I don't try and sort my music in a style. I just write and whatever comes out, comes out. I'm trying to bring something new to the table and I just hope people can relate to my music!

Well, my names Gina Marie and I am 16 years old. I've been doing this songwriting thing for more than a year now and just starting teaching myself guitar back in November. Music IS my soul and there's no question about it. It's what I think about when I wake up in the morning, therefore I know that's what I'm supposed to do. When I write, I try to incorporate my past experiences with a new, yet catchy sound. It's been said my songs are very catchy and that I have a good sense of melody. My influences are definitely all the greats: The Beatles, The Who, Aerosmith, Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Queen, Bob Marley, Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, and lot of other old classic rock. I also have an ear for newer music as welll such as Panic at the Disco, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Radiohead, Coldplay, Cat Power, and more. They're all fantastic musicians and they influence me tremendously. What sets me apart from other bands is that I have a unique writing style and I really know what people want to hear and incorporate that thought into when I write. Anywho, I've been working on my music for a while and have been singing for as long as I can remember. My music is very important to me and I try my best to get it heard. Just like everyone else in the music industry, I'm waiting to be heard and for something to happen. For now, that's my story. The rest is still unwritten!
