Proud Nova Scotia born musician!
Music ... the universal language. I have always been facinated by how a combination of notes can evoke feelings of anticipation, disappointment, love and loss, a sense of duty or a sense of calm.
I guess the sense of calm is what started my song writing. Adolescence ... we have all been there when our "carved in stone" views of the world doesn't seem to coincide with our parents. Well, during times of those adolescent / parental conflicts I would retreat to the shoreline behind my house armed with pen and paper where I would write down my frustrations in search of "my calm".
A little girl in a neighbouring community met with an untimely death. I wrote a song for this child and it became the sparked for writing of my second cd.
I write from my heart which can be sometimes upset and others sort of goofy. But in the end we create memories.
I would say we sound like Luba with a hint of Pink.
