Gio

Gio is a Singer/Songwriter from Vancouver, B.C. A singer since junior high, his initial reason for pursuing music was to impress potential girlfriends. He soon realized that he had a talent for creating music that moved more than just the hearts of a few pretty girls.

“I wrote my very first song back when I was 16. The melodies were not catchy, I didn’t rhyme a single sentence, and I just started playing guitar.. But it was a start – I created something out of nothing!”

Since then, he has performed for bigger and prettier audiences and has won many singing and songwriting competitions throughout B.C.

Gio recently opened for YouTube singing sensation, Gabe Bondoc, during his sold-out Vancouver show in April 2010.
Gio also performed with a large cast of opening acts for the Brian McKnight concert on December 2010.

After working for several years in corporate sales, Gio left that life of stability to pursue his dream of becoming a recording artist & songwriter.

His influences range from Pop to Jazz to R&B. An accomplished musician, Gio’s music mixes catchy pop melodies with familiar progressions and relatable stories.

“When I create my music, I don’t have a specific theme or genre in mind. Music is so eclectic nowadays.. I leave it up to the listener to make that decision.”

Through hard work, determination and an undeniably magnetic charm, Gio is one Singer/Songwriter that will take the music industry by storm.
