Bio

Coming off of her solo release NOMAD (Ni Fu Ni Fa Records 2014), which included radio features on WXRT, WBEZ, WHPK, Fearless Radio, Radio Tavisupleba (Prague), Radio Shokoladi (Tbilisi), as well as interviews in international magazines and newspapers (City Magazine, Sakartvelos Respublica, The Chronicle, OnAxis Music), singer/songwriter Nino Arobelidze ("Nee-no Aro-bey-leed-zay") is currently working on her GIRL NAMED NINO album and infusing her personal brand of indie soul with Jazz and World Music, wowing audiences across demographics.

Hailing from Tbilisi-Georgia, Nino Arobelidze moved to Chicago to make music and develop her sound. While still studying classical vocal performance at DePaul University Music School, Nino started independently releasing her original music in 2011 and in 2012 was signed to the Ni Fu Ni Fa Records, a Chicago-based indie music label.

Nino’s voice is often described as pure and effortless with a timeless vintage twist. While her imaginative phrasing and swagger are reminiscent of a skilled instrumentalist, her treatment of language is driven by the power of words and the magic of subtlety.

"Nino Arobelidze is a wonder. You cannot know unless you go and hear for yourself." -Andy Willis
