Remember Morrisson? Got 'im. Remember Page? Got 'im too. Remember Keith Moon? Yup. Forgettaboutit... the soul of decades of legendary rockers is being reborn in one band and one band alone... GIRTH!

Swing Like Tarzan

Written By: B. McNerney

Swing Like Tarzan

Sex in the city
Sex in the town
Sex in the jungle
All y’all monkeys get down

Sex on the street
Sex on the side
Sex in my back seat
Hey little girl, wanna go for a ride?

Swing Like Tarzan

Sex on the bar
Some like it hot
Sex on the beach
Hey bartender
pour me another shot

I come from the Irishman’s plunder
My people manufacture the thunder
We spread it all of the world
And I brought some for you little girl

Swing like Tarzan

Maybe you don’t go out in the wild
Maybe you have been
a sheltered child
There’s a lot of wild things goin’ on

Maybe you will sing
like a red sparrow
Maybe you will scream like an animal
There’s a lot of wild things goin’ on

Did you wander too far
Where the wild things are?

Sex with your guitar
Sex with your bass
Sex with your drummer
But you got to keep pace

Sex with the singer
I’ll meet you after the show
You can hold up
the walls in my hotel
C’mon girl let’s go

Swing like Tarzan

Make a Mark

Written By: B. McNerney

Father, make a mark on the door frame
Your boy has found himself another tune
Standing in a field of roses
The thorns have always been there but the roses are gonna bloom

Oh won’t you come outside
And dance in the sunlight
And if it should rain then I know
At least you took the time

The time to see me through
That life was more important to you
Then piggy banks and fancy clothes
You put bread in my mouth and you fed my soul

Chorus:
And I know instead of growing up I’ve gone the other way
But you’ll see that the things I know will bring another day
And then we can let ourselves outside in the cool sunshine to play
So just say that for now you put your briefcase away

Teacher, make a mark on the paper
That “A” is for “All my wasted time”
Sitting in your class just waiting to go outside and feel alive
You know you never taught that sun to shine

Oh won’t you come outside
And dance in the sunlight
And if it should rain then I know
At least you took the time

The time to see me through
that life was more important to you
Then A’s and B’s and SAT’s
I didn’t go to school just to learn how to please

Chorus:
And I know instead of growing up I’ve gone the other way
But you’ll see that the things I know will bring another day
And then we can let ourselves outside in the cool sunshine to play
So just say that for now won’t you take me away

Do it just for today
Take me away

Sophomore

Written By: B. McNerney

My girlfriend’s got a zit
Don’t know what I’m gonna do about it
You gotta run real fast – get away after class
Cuz she wants a kiss and I don’t wanna do it
My girlfriends got a zit

I went to school on Friday
Pushing all the stupid kids out of my way
Here she comes down the hall
Get my kiss and then I saw

Chorus

Why does this happen to me?
Why can’t you all just be
Normal ordinary people
Everyone’s a freak why can’t you just be cool?

Chorus

Saturday my girlfriend called but
I was away don’t know where I was
Maybe I was banging around at the mall
Cuz someone’s a freak don’t want to see her at all
My friends won’t talk to me
They pass me by cuz everybody sees

Chorus

Discography

Come Feel This, our first release, is a studio demo of 9 tracks that has a sound ranging from Punk (Sophomore) to Jam (Make A Mark) to a Pink Floyd inspired track (C U Next Tuesday) and a version of R.E.M.'s "The One I Love" that sounds like it's been stripped and raped. The album does not stretch the listener to such a degree as to alienate or confuse but, instead, has the consistency and resourcefulness of well-tempered musicians skillfully saddling their instruments and peeling out through 9 solid tracks of winding rock-n-roll highway.

This state-of-the-art studio album was recorded live in one day with minimum overdubs for less than $2500.00 defying the ominous stigma that production teams and computer generated loops are necessary to record great music. Come Feel This is an album of incredible emotion and diverse well-informed taste that is more easily described as a recorded, documented event and less as a sound-effected studio production.

Our engineer, Paul Avgerinos, is a Grammy Award nominee whose nimble fingers and technical mastery perfectly compliment the live recording technique utilized on this album.

This unique album, more a feat of incredible focus and sweat, was literally produced in less than 24 hours from microphone set-up to master copy proofs. Furthermore, only 10 days after the master was approved 400 copies were released at a small party in Hartord, CT. and in only 2 weeks time all 400 copies were gone.
