"Folkworld"

From the beautiful city of Florence comes Guila Millanta. Although, you can catch her playing all over Europe and perhaps even busking at a busy street corner. She appears to be a spirited performer and this album captures that spirit as well as a skill for putting forward good modern folk songs. There are good laidback rock moves as well. She has a fine voice and the songs come across cleanly with the crystal production. And for old rockers, the cover of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid” is welcome with no parody intended and succeeds in Millanta’s style and easy going pace. - David Hintz

"Next best Thing Music"

"these songs come from the heart and the mind, what takes place is seen through the singers eyes, what is felt is what she feels, and oh she is curious, feisty, humorous, yet introspective. - NBT

"Americana UK"

Among the highlights you can list ‘The Old Man’ (that contains some mighty fine Weissenborn guitar and acoustic picking), snappy little ode ‘A Long Dark Road’ and with a 1970s, ‘Hotel’. Where Millanta is allowed to show a greater width to her music as she provokes spare stark imagery needed to make a song more memorable. While of a keener rock edge as swirling violin (Fulvio A.T Renzi), viola (Paolo Clementi) and positive percussion take hold ‘Paranoid’ aims for the heart of the listener and hits plumb centre.
To close Millanta takes a novel approach as she goes all-acoustic and picks a little ukelele (and whistle too) on the short and sweet ‘Floating’ and what better way to close on what is a beautiful collection of work. By a young lady with a voice and refreshing style that needs to be heard. - Maurice Hope
