Biography

Giulio moved first steps into music at the age of five, learning to play piano first and starting then with the guitar. His studies range from Classical, to Jazz, to Rock, to Flamenco music. Artistically formed in particular with Angelo Fauli, Livio Gianola, Marco Porcu, Peo Alfonsi, Giulio deepened his studies on Mediterranean sonorities approaching the Arab music system with M° Jamal Ouassini. Guitarist of the EU project “Young Music Caravan” from 2005 to 2008, Giulio played in festivals, clubs, tv-shows in Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Rumania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia. Several recording experiences in different situations, from pop (Sanremo 2009), to Jazz (YMC 2005, 2006, 2007). In January 2011 has been released “Mediterranean Suites”, the first soloist album, followed in 2012 by “Kalinifta”. In 2012 Giulio composed six musics for cello & piano to accompany the paintings of Ombretta Buongarzoni in the project “Geminos”. In 2007 won the first prize of the poetry contest dedicated to Marta Nurizzo. Graduated in Economics and International Management at Bocconi University of Milan and Alma Ticinensis University of Pavia. From 2011 to 2012 Giulio covered the role of Vicepresident of the cultural association "Il Tamarindo" of Milan. From 2009 Giulio is acoustic guitar professor at MusicTime school of Milan and at the Alban Berg private Conservatory of Pescara. He's nowadays attending a Master Degree in Contemporary Writing at the Conservatory Luisa D'Annunzio of Pescara.
