Giuseppe Deliso

Giuseppe Deliso is a contemporary jazz guitarist, who lives in the beautiful Puglia. Italy.

His sound spans the genres: Smooth Jazz, Jazz Lounge, Gospel Jazz.

His training is through a music studio is self-taught short workshops that targeted the following guitarists: Nico Stufano, Guido Di Leone, Gabriele D'Angela, Salvatore Russo, Alberto Tebaldi.

Very significant and relevant for the purpose of his training music, were the meetings with composers Nico Marziliano (piano) and Davide Viterbo (guitar, cello).

In 2010 his first album as Author: Rebirth. His music is full of romance, but at the same time energy and passion, also evident is the contamination of other musical genres, fruit of his musical journey in itself. In addition, his compositions draw on its human experiences, and express its culture, its worldview, its message.

In 2009 he released Cocktail Guitar. A collection of covers from the repertoire of international authors like Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Antonio Carlos Jobim, George Benson, Burt Bacharach, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, and others. In 2005, the presentation of his musical project: Gospel in Jazz. It is a reinterpretation of gospel songs between the end of '800 and early '900 and the Spirituals, the music of the blacks slaves in the cotton fields between the end of '500 and '700. All harmonized and construed in accordance with the jazz tradition. This work gives rise to a collection, never published, but musically presented successfully in some Protestant Christian realities at national level, such as CEIAM by Rome.

In 2010, the encounter with the band, four musicians, already active and present in the musical territory, of the Puglia, which are : Vito Liturri (piano), Marco Boccia (bass), Lello Patruno (drums), Vincenzo Antonicelli (saxophone). The musical feeling is immediate.
