Bio
Giustino Petrone is a 26-year-old singer based in New York City. His musical journey began in 1994 playing bass for bands like Whiskey Biscuit, Prominent Forehead, Lupe the Lizard, and eventually soul legends The Spanish Inquisition.
His first full length solo album - "I Heard" - was released in 2002 and throughout 2003, 2004, and 2005 he played concerts in Long Island, NY; Hoboken, NJ; Tartu, Estonia, Vancouver, BC; San Francisco, CA; and, of course, New York City. Giustino's second full length album - "Ragazza" - was self-released in April 2006.
Giustino's musical goal is to provide the audience with an interactive glimpse into his own musical world, where samba, bossa nova, and tarantella-infused music complements sugary tales of hot sex, romance, escape, the perils of olympic athletes, the Italian jet set, and anything that strikes his eye as worthy.
In a way he is just another son of Italian director Federico Fellini, doing his part to keep magic flowing in the world. Influences include Fellini, as well as Warhol, Caetano Veloso, Jorge Ben, Chico Buarque, Bjork, Nino Rota, and Renato Carosone.
