Biography

Give Me Back My Wig has become one of the hottest acts on the Southern California blues circuit, bringing their high-powered entertaining performances to the top venues in the Southland each year. Since 2001, being known as “The Most Powerful Guitar Attack in the Blues,” the face and explosive quality of this great band changed like most great bands…the “attack” has expanded! Today sharing lead vocal duties with Randy Rich is Kara Turner, a comparison to legendary performers.
Kara brings a stunning passion to her vocals and to the entirety of her live performances. She's become a commanding presence at major shows and events across Southern California. Whatever genre of music she performs, she invests each style with an individuality that few artists can match. Whatever the song demands, Kara delivers it with a very special dynamic presence and soul.
As the powerhouse “attack” of Give Me Back My Wig had expanded with Kara’s vocals, it has also enhanced its grip on the blues with the addition of Glenn Stacey on sax. He is a virtuosos and a veteran sax player with years of live performances and recordings. He is an absolutely brilliant horn man. When he plays, the listener is brought into the pure blues-gold that has made the saxophone a key component of this music; from the sweet force of the Stax/Volt R&B classics to the modern muscle of 21st Century blues.
Give Me Back My Wig’s long-time rhythm section of Glen Maiden on drums and Bill Hayes on bass
supplies the perfect punch and foundation for this great band a band that hits
each stage like a rumbling runaway locomotive.
