Givenstone

Givenstone is best described as a progressive, alternative, hard rock band based in Fort Mcmurray AB, with roots in the east coast and Ont. Original members, Wade and Gary, reunited in AB and they were fortunate enough to meet up with Tim Hutchings, a powerful and technical drummer skills that compliments the writing and performing style of Givenstone.
The AB crowds have been impressed with their brand of "light and shade" music that also incorporates a blend of acoustic and heavy overdriven guitars and Wade's vocally charged and hard-hitting lyrics. Artists such as Led Zepplin, The Tea Party, Tool, Helmet , and S.T.P are among the many musical influences that have shaped Givenstone and helped them to make their own mark on the Canadian music landscape. Givenstone's first 6 song ep Lies and I.O.U.'s is currently available on itunes and cd baby. The band is currently writing material for their first full length album.
