In 1983,
Steven "Gizmoh" Thompson was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. As a kid growing up in south side Chicago Gizmoh had many interests. His love for sports dominated his early life. After high school he decided to pursue a career in baseball. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 2001 to go to college. While juggling work and college he met Jim "Big Fauss" Foster. Foster had been in the local music scene for 5 years and took interest in hearing Gizmoh's material. The two then decided to start their own record label on the side while pursuing other things. After a few years the two started getting more serious about a potential career in the music industry. They upgraded equipment and started putting more time in their craft. Struggles with money and seeing dead ends would hinder the group for some time. Eventually through constant effort they broke through and started making strides. Gizfauss named after a combination of both artists names would release a few mixtapes before finally pushing Gizmoh Thompson into a solo artist role. His debut album is set to be the first big release on Gizfauss Records. Gizmoh Thompson doesn't rest his laurels on just one style, he prefers to mix it up to show diversity in his work. He promises his albums wont all be like listening to one long song. A collection of different styles and traits has made Gizmoh Thompson truly an original artist.
