GJOA BAND

All band members are Inuit from Nunavut,
Leader - Enuk Pauloosie, Fiddle, Button Accordion and Rhythm Acoustic Guitar when singing. - Geordie Pauloosie, Bass Guitar, Button Accordion - John Aglukkaq, Lead Guitar, Rhythem Guitar, Nathan Komangat, Drummer Vocals, Albert Aglukkaq Lead Vocalist, This band started out as youth band in 1995 and has been playing together to date, and have been invited to many festivals across the north, folks on the rocks, Aqpik Jam, Alianait Arts Festival in Iqaluit, Nu, Rockin Walrus Arts music Festival, Band has been invited to many different occasions as well as grand openings by Canadain North Airlines, played in cash bar fund raisers, played in Country and Western bars, Legions, Band plays square dance music both with fiddle and Button accordion, waltz songs, two steps, band sings both in Inuktitut and English.
We are interested in going to any festivals across Canada and would like to get to be known more, people love our music but yet to record, you may see in You Tube if you search under "enuk Pauloosie" and we are also in Face Book under "GJOA BAND" please help our band in exploring and more options in getting to be known more by Canada wide, Gjoa Haven, Nunavut is where the Sir John Franklin Ships were found recently.
