"Golan sings and Walter plays guitar and triggers an array of stormy samples, giving the music a gutsy, industrial backdrop. Call it electro-crash synth-rock, glam and emo-punk with the wires all crossed, and Golan alternating between playful, wiseacre banter and big choruses."

Kevin Bronson
- Los Angeles Times

GLACIER HIKING ''Incredibly talented pop songwriters. They're not signed yet, but if you go to the Troubadour [in West Hollywood], it's filled with hot chicks who know all the words. Something's going on.'' - Entertainment Weekly

Bio

Founding band members, Ross Golan and Tommy Walter, founded Glacier Hiking in March of 2005 to achieve both artistic and commercial success through creativity, experience and efficiency. Collectively, Ross and Tommy have signed four major label record deals (Eels with Dreamworks, Ross Golan and Molehead with Insider Trading Corporation/EMI and Abandoned Pools with Ecstasy/WEA and Universal Records) and earned two bachelor degrees in Music from the University of Southern California. Their creativity can be measured by continued musical growth and genre diversity heard on their previous bands’ albums. With influences ranging from Bartok to Prince and Blur to Eminem, Glacier Hiking has managed to stay honest to their roots and still progressive in lyric and musical content.

The Glacier Hiking team’s experience is incomparable. Eels, of which Tommy was the founding bassist, traveled the world and achieved platinum success in Europe. Abandoned Pools, in which Tommy solely created, sold nearly 100,000 albums in the US and opened for A Perfect Circle, Garbage and Lenny Kravitz among others. Ross’s record company Insider Trading Corporation/EMI released Ross Golan and Molehead’s Reagan Baby domestically and toured with bands such as Jurassic 5. The team also includes attorney and senior chairman of Loeb and Loeb, John T. Frankenheimer Esq. (Beastie Boys, Dixie Chicks, Diana Ross, Grateful Dead, etc.), publicist Laura Cohen of LCMedia (Massive Attack, Lollapalooza, etc.), and booking agent Brett Stair of APA (Panic! At the Disco, One Republic, etc.). In addition, Glacier Hiking signed to Lionsgate Music Publishing. They're single "Save Some" is on the My Best Friend's Girl soundtrack starring Kate Hudson and Dane Cook. The album version of this song features Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic.
