Glafiro & Solid Ghost

With roots stretching out from all parts of the state of Texas, Glafiro & Solid Ghost is a band that now calls Austin home. The band is composed of three members, each of whom has tremendous devotion to the craft of music and a passion for their respective instrument and it shows in both recorded and live performances. Together for almost three years, the band is able to separate itself from other rock groups by composing music that both touches on and comes from the human experience. Lyrics that are as personal as diary excerpts, yet still able to reach even the most cynical soul, and music crafted from years and years of listening and experimenting. Influences of music that range from 90's alternative to 70's riff rock, to 60's blues/rock fusion. Artists like Jeff Buckley, Led, Zeppelin, The Cult, Pearl Jam and The Doors to name a few. For almost three years now, Glafiro & Solid Ghost has played countless show throughout the central and south Texas area, garnering a loyal fan-base in the process.. With passing time, the band continues to evolve musically as there next E.P. will demonstrate. Temporarily titled "Prices" (expected release Dec. 2011); Glafiro & Solid Ghost move to a more stripped down style of rock music; more aggressive tempos and tones and more attention to lyrical harmony. The band views this upcoming E.P. as another step towards growth in the musical landscape, and another opportunity to reach out to future fans.
