"Through Afterthought: A Buffalo Infringement Festival 2010 Experience""

A performance later in the evening by Glass Hero was a complete showcasing of both the well crafted indie rock songs and the honed in musical skills of the trio, on an individual and on a group level, and would prove to round the show out with grand stature. This, as well as any other Glass Hero performance, allows listeners to peer into the minds of some of the grand giants of complex shoe gazing architecture, and will leave your ears to await the taste of more Glass Hero. - Geoffrey Peters

Bio

After almost 10 years of playing together in a variety of musical outfits, John Galbo (drums, vocals) and Claire Fornarola (guitar, vocals) joined with bassist Aaron Smith to form Glass Hero. Each as prolific multi-instrumentalists with past solo endeavors, Glass Hero's formation resulted in a unique and refreshing sound.

Since their formation in August of 2009, Glass Hero has celebrated two releases, their debut EP entitled "And/Or" in December of 2009 followed by the recent release of the "You(Me)" EP in October 2010. They have played shows in cities throughout the northeast including Rochester, New York and Philadelphia and have enjoyed success in their hometown of Buffalo, NY. They played several shows for the Buffalo Infringement Festival of 2010 and their songs were featured in the promotional DVD. They were finalists in Artvoice's Battle of Original Music, a contest held by Buffalo's premier arts publication. They've played shows with several renowned artists, including national touring acts O'Brother and Pitchfork Magazine featured artist Class Actress.

With each member contributing in every aspect of the writing, Glass Hero's collaborative approach to music making is evident in both their recorded work and their performances. Their music has been described as everything from 90's grunge and rock revival to a hybrid of folk and metal. The music of Glass Hero is engaging and versatile. They are able to communicate their dedication to creativity through collaboration and an always evolving sound, offering a new take on modern alternative music.
