Bio

Rising from the ashes of New York metal outfit Dead by Choice, glasshouses aims to bring their hard-edged sound to larger audiences with the goal of making sure everyone in the ever-growing crowd has the night of their life- every time they play.

The origins of the band reach as far back as the late 90's when brothers John (drums/vocals) and Chris (vocals/guitar) began laying the groundwork in their grandparents' basement for what would ultimately become what they describe as the band that belongs to their fans.

Consisting of Chris Galligan's tight razor sharp riffs, singable hooks, and soft contrasting melodies (a sound described by fellow musicians as a rollercoaster of intensity and emotion) and John Galligan's nonpareil drum beats, featuring sharp impassioned fills and a rhythmic feel that remains unmatched in the current music scene, the core of the band was formed. Enlisting former Dead by Choice Bassist Nino Valenti (also in Hard rock band Theorem) to crush the low frequencies with style, and guitar virtuoso Eddie Radovic (veteran of the NYC music scene, and graduate of the highly acclaimed GIT guitar academy of the Musician's institute) to burn singing leads over the brothers tight knit rhythms in mid 2010, they hit the stage for their first performance at the renowned annual Halloween party at Brian Dempsey's, and followed up shortly after with a performance at the 41st annual New York City Marathon.

Currently in the studio recording their debut release, and following up with a planned tour in 2011, glasshouses offers a sound that appeals to the discriminating palette of hard, edgy, melodic, catchy, fist-pumping, and heartwrenching sounds with a feel that is all New York.
