Hi. We're Glass Midnight. We started this band with one thing in mind, and that is to make catchy and fun finlandian inspired goth rock with an 80's Glam metal twist. Why? You ask? Well, Gavin, Brian, and myself (Phil), met about 3 or 4 years ago and all shared the same love for metal music and the dark aspects of life wich was a very rare occurance at the jersey shore. Myself and Gavin played in a power metal band together for a few months before we realized that he and i were the only ones truly trying to get the ball rolling as dedicated musicians. Unfortunately, it took a toll on us musically and we all went our seperate ways. Brian and I met when playing drums was just a spur of the moment thought. I specifically remember a conversation at the metal/rock clothing store where he worked, when in the middle of talking about Edguy and Sonata Arctica, he says to me, "I think I'm gonna start playing drums." Not too long after that, Brian and I lost touch. This now brings us to November of 2006. When surfing the internet, i came across a well established band, whom i had heard so much about. They were auditioning lead guitar players and at the time, i was itching to get in a band. Two years after losing contact with Brian, i walk in for an audition, when who else was there, but Brian sitting behind his set. Long story short, i learned alll the material in a week and played my first show with them that December 3rd. This went on for a while longer when unexpectedly, Gavin walks into a party we were throwing. Next thing you know, the 3 of us are back together making music and playing shows in Philadelphia like we had always talked about. Severed Fate had brought us back together again. It was then that we realized that the 3 of us still shared the same passion for music, and although the heavier metal was fun to play, it wasn't where our heart was. Following the break-up of Severed Fate, we aquired vocalist Matt Storm and focused all of our devotion to this once side project that we call Glass Midnight.
