The first time Glenn laid eyes on Chelbie, she was singing in a church, and he knew he was going to marry her. Soon after meeting, the grandson of a jazz saxophonist and son of a rock drummer and the daughter of a shred-guitarist father and finger picking folk singing mother married their diverse music sensabilities and began perfroming together. Soon after that, they were married to each other.
Glenn & Chelbie's music draws from nostalgia for the places and past they never knew mixed with the adventures and travels they have had moving from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Brooklyn, New York to O.C. California. Their music has a definite throwback vibe that springs from the duo's preference to keep an ear in the present and one in the past, evoking hints of artists like Duffy, Van Morrison, Elvis Costello, Natalie Merchant, Sarah Mclaughlin, , and The Beatles.
Glenn and Chelbie are also frequently found backing up fellow tunesmith/performer Tiana Star.
