Friday night, back of the bike
heading down the Nepean highway
Take my hands off, for a second I'm flying , with you you know I feel so safe
Stop at the bottle shop, got to get the regular 48 Melbourne cans
See Dad's doing his bit cos' in the morning I can crush them up and take them to the recycle man
Now that you're gone I keep wondering what went wrong
Now that you're gone I'm moving on
12 bucks and a ride in Jimmy's truck and boy I feel like a man
So on the way home I ask Dad to keep drinking so we can do it all again
He says no problem son just remember to drink for fun because sometimes it gets out of hand
I said I'll do my best but the look in his eye said I didn't stand a chance
I'm shaking in my boots
I'm screaming on the inside
See i got no friends here
Nowhere to hide
How it all came to this, I guess I'll never know why
But if I promise not to judge you, will you promise not to die
